In-motion bypass mod
Subaru navigation DVD In-motion bypass modification >>>
Where the NAV DVD unit is located there is a wiring harness. You want to stick a thick wire in the hole in the picture and loop it around a screw on the harness so it is effectively grounded. If you have a Tribeca you can access the wiring harness from the backseat behind the driver's seat by just kind of contorting yourself under it. There is a 2-bolt metal "shield" that you need to remove with a screw driver to get to the wiring harness. If you do not have a Tribeca you may have to remove the 4 bolts that hold your seat on to get to it. If you think you've done this correctly and it isn't working, you probably have not actually made contact between your new wire and the pin that the harness connects into. Push the wire in further until you can see it coming out when you look at the harness straight-on. Make sure everything is making contact and it should work.
