While connected to your computer using the RS232 cable.
Turn the receiver ON from back switch, while holding the ‘STANBY’ and ‘CH UP’ keys until the display shows " db - - " Using ExtremeView Magnum Loader When the receiver is in the selected receive mode, proceed to select ‘port’ select open File, select a location and **create a file name for the channel list you are about to download from the Magnum** I save mine by date I.E. 03-05-07 then click on receive. Once the file is received successfully as will be seen in the loader application, you may power off the receiver. Note the display will not say ‘GOOD’, when files are received from the ‘POWER ON – Front Panel mode’ To receive a channel list from the ExtremeView Magnum : You will now see a new file in the folder location you selected that will read * example * 03-05-07.bin Yes thats right ExtremeView Magnum channel list are .bin files Now using Channel Master by #C Update select import select ExtremeView Magnum from the list go to the folder you saved your list to and select the list. Now you can edit it to your likes when finished editing it now select Exoprt select ExtremeView Magnum from the list create a file name for this new edited list and save. now you have 2 choices you can eithwe use Channel master or ExtremeView Magnum Loader to upload your nice new edited list to your Magnum. credit to: Cyborg The procedure for uploading the channel list back into the maggie = send it as you would a bin file
