Pansat 9200HD - Procedure to Guarantee Finding all HD
c/p For the Pansat 9200, the following procedure will virtually guarantee finding all High Definition channels on each Satellite scan, whether published or not. Even though not all transponders may actually be in use on the bird you are about to scan, manually input all 32 transponders, Twice. Once for the SD channels, and once for the HD channels. When you are finished, you should have 64 transponders stored. One thing that is standard with all DN and Bev satellites is they use the same transponder frequencies and polarity. You can obtain the list by going to LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite or see the list below. The protocol used is as following: Menu Installation Satellite Setup Edit TP/SAT Choose Satellite Edit TP Delete all Transponders, one at a time For Standard Channels Down Frequency: 12443 Symbol Rate: 20000 Polarity: Horizontal Tuner Type: DVB-S Modulation: QPSK Pilot: Off FEC: 5/6 For High Def Down Frequency: 12443 Symbol Rate: 21500 Polarity: Horizontal Tuner Type: DVB-S2 Modulation: 8PSK Pilot: On FEC: 2/3 When finished, perform a Satellite Scan on each bird. Interesting note: Usually the FEC, when set to Auto, will still normally find the proper Forward Error Correction, however, this is not the case with HD. When manual insertion is in use, the information must be exact. I performed the above-mentioned procedure on all DN birds. Make sure you save your work to your USB card so as not to have to repeat this [lengthy but beneficial] process. In so doing, this procedure will ensure all current, and future HD channels will be found whenever a satellite scan is performed. See the procedure protocol below. This will store all satellite settings and any other custom programming that may have been completed. In the event a factory reset is required in the future, just load the latest bin as before, followed by the file you saved with the HD and SD information. Active Transponder List 12224V 12239H 12253V 12268H 12282V 12297H 12311V 12326H 12341V 12355H 12370V 12384H 12399V 12414H 12428V 12443H 12457V 12472H 12486V 12501H 12516V 12530H 12545V 12559H 12574V 12588H 12603V 12618H 12632V 12647H 12661V 12676H Note: Bev is QPSK [not 8PSK as is DN] and does not require this modification. It will however be beneficial to manually input all 32 transponders and the 20000 symbol rate. This will ensure 100% channels found, provided a good quality signal is present. Saving to your USB: Menu USB Channel Data Select the Green Button (Channel Data Backup) Select Yes Create a name, such as: HD FEC's When finished, Select OK. This will store all satellite settings and any other custom programming that may have been completed. In the event a factory reset is required in the future, just load the latest bin as before, followed by the file you saved with the HD and SD information. Enjoy it. |
