A. Back strap of deer (cut 1/4 inch thick)
b. Milk "vitamin d is my favorite" (enough to cover deer meat) c. Eggs (3 to 5) d. Flour e. Salt f. Black pepper g. Kyanne powder (opional) 1. Begin with soaking all pieces of back strap in milk for 15-20 min. 2. In a seperate container mix eggs as though you were going to scramble them. 3. In a large freezer bag, mix "to taste" ingredients (d-g). 4. Place 6-8 pieces in eggs (eggs should cover the meat) 5. Take the pieces out of the eggs and place them in freezer bag (few pieces at a time). 6. Shake bag untill all pieces are covered well with ingredients (d-g). 7. Take 6-8 pieces at a time and fry (slowly) on low to med heat. Cook meat to med.rare/med. Please do not over cook or meat will be too tough to eat. 8. "deer poppers" are bite sized so you can "pop" them in your mouth. You can serve them with mushrooms and beef broth over rice, green beans, corn on the cob. Invent your own meal with them. You can also eat them for a snack while watching the big game. Hope you enjoy... Caleb... |
