Thumbs down Brock Lesnar was forced to withdraw

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar was forced to withdraw Monday from his Nov. 21 title defence against Shane Carwin. According to Yahoo! Sports, Lesnar has been ill for several weeks and has been unable to train as a result.

"He said he’s never been this sick in his life," UFC president Dana White told Yahoo! Sports. "He said it’s been going on for a long time and he just hasn’t been able to shake it."

White added he does not believe Lesnar has the H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu and he is not sure when the fight will be rescheduled or if Carwin will still fight on the card.

"We’re still working everything out," he said.

Exclamation UFC Champ Brock Lesnar Has Mono

This is an update post on Brocks condition:
UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has mononucleosis and will be unable to compete until March.

UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will be unable to defend his belt against Shane Carwin due to mononucleosis, reports ESPN. The story initially broke when UFC president Dana White sent a text message to the Los Angeles Times. The fight was originally scheduled for UFC 104 on Nov. 21, but was pushed back because of Lesnar’s illness.
Now the fight, which was rescheduled for Jan. 2, will have to be pushed back again to March, which is when UFC officials says Lesnar will be able to compete again, reports HispanicBusiness.com. Last month, Lesnar gave an interview at a Minnesota Vikings game, showing no signs of illness, which leaves one to wonder the severity of his illness.
