Starting out in FTA.
To those of you starting out in FTA and have no idea where to start this is the thread for you.
What do you want to accomplish? There are so many options. What I mean is that there are so many sats you can aim at. If you live in America, then I suggest (DN 110/119) & if you live in Canada I suggest (BEV 82 & 91). You can always expand and probably will as it's a good idea to aim at more than one provider and maybe a true FTA sat to eliminate the down time.
The first place to start is by selecting a dish and a receiver, where you are located will determine the type and size of dish, what you want to view will determine the type of receiver, ether Standard Definition (SD) or High Definition (HD) you need to get.
There are so many to choose from. Choosing one will depend on if you just want free tv or if you need pvr capabilities or High Definition. After you make this initial choice, you are half way there. You can learn more about receivers by going to the review section.
After you get the receiver, you can ask for help in that discussion section.
You can also find the latest file for your reciever in our file section.
bev is currentely down due to n3 whan having 2 or more dishes you need to get a disque switch, hook up sats then set ports and settings in attenea settings and scan sats.
